For seventy years Alvin specialized in B2B relationships with professional providers, graphics design houses, art suppliers, college book stores, reprographics shops and specialty online retailers. We plan to continue that tradition because we understand the importance of the brick and mortar stores and the specialty sellers who connect us with our buyer. Alvin's new wholesale program, like our product line, has really been stripped down to its essentials. Great service, quality products, fair market pricing, and reliable logistics. 


Because we have a smaller more concentrated footprint, we want to reflect that in our wholesale business as well. We are reconnecting with our best partners to offer our products in the market. Alvin's line will be available at select outlets with partners we trust. Wherever you find Alvin, you will find a quality seller.

Alvin has retained 100% of its legacy

production partnerships, from the United States, to Europe and Asia. All the same

factories, using the same materials so that we can  deliver the quality you have come to expect from us for third of a century.



Becoming an authorized Alvin retailer will be by invite only and subject to approval. We expect to maintain a limited roster of wholesale partners, so we can really be of service to all who carry the brand and support the line. 

It's not the about quantity, it's really about quality with Alvin.

Questions & Answers

If we had an Alvin wholesale account, will that transfer?

No, all previous accounts have been retired. We are accepting new applications for wholesale accounts. Accounts will be by invite only. 

Will we still have the same discounts?

We have new simplified discount tiers. No more codes, catalogs, gimmicks or games. Simple everyday great discounts.  None of the historic discounts or programs will be continued to the new account. 

Will our wholesale account have free shipping?

Yes, free shipping will be available to all tiers when an order minimum is met. We will also offer a 1/2 and 1/2 total as well.

Can we get the new catalog?

Right now we don't have any plans for a paper catalog. With our simplified line and so many great digital ways to showcase our line, we don't want to create an expense that we would pass onto you or the customer. New product website is on the way.

Will terms be available? Will they be the same as we used to have.

Yes, if you qualify for terms they will be available, and the old terms are null and void.

We sell online on a third party platform, can we open an account?

To maintain the integrity of our pricing and protect all of our authorized retail partners, third party platform selling (Amazon, eBay, Walmart.com, etc.) is prohibited. Alvin will be monitoring these platforms and selling on them will be a violation of our agreement.

Do you have stock?

We do have stock of most of the line. Like most companies the Covid-19 pandemic and unusually high consumer demand have put some kinks in the supply chain. Luckily we ordered early and have stock ready to ship. 

Will our order ship from Connecticut or Texas?

All order will ship from the beautiful state of Utah. Boxes will be full of fresh mountain air at no additional charge.

Why are you limiting the number of wholesale accounts?

We are a smaller company now, and focused on the Alvin brand. We want to make sure the partners we have, get great service and we have the products in stock. We now sell a very specialty product and we want to make sure it isn't just everywhere because it can be. As time goes on more opportunities may become available. Please don't hesitate to apply.

Do you still distribute other suppliers products?

The distribution business has been closed. We are only distributors of the Alvin brand.

What happened to the furniture line?

The furniture line has been retired, along with Heritage Arts. Prestige portfolios will return in 2022.

Can we order kits from Alvin?

Right now Alvin is not set up to build kits. We prefer to take our roll as a premier partner to those who build kits and supplies into the educational channel.

How do we apply for an account invitation?

Who owns Alvin now?

When the Shoham family retired from Alvin, they turned the reigns over to Ascendant. The Ascendant team based in Utah are the stewards of many quality brands. We are also very excited to bring Alvin back to prominence in the drawing, drafting and design category.
